Default The Longest Drive

I have just spent 12 long hours driving to my new home in Vancouver. It was the longest drive I had yet. I had two cats meowing in my ear the whole way....I am glad that that trip is over. If anyone knows canada or British Columbia, I started out in Prince Greorge (and the tempature was about -24) I started driving around 5:00pm stopping every hour in another town to grab a cup of coffee for my midnight stroll (don't forget about those cats meowing cause they never stopped ) I passed one town after another with the tempature rising about 5 degrees ever hour that passes(thank GOD!) Im finally almost there and it is now 3:00am and im in the pass called boston bar(some small hick town) Im doing around 80kmh in a 50 zone and what do you know from out of no where lights lit up red and blue. I smack my wife (not hard because I think she can take me in a real fight )
tell her to wake up and put her seat belt on. So any how the cop gave me a warning (woooooo hoooooo my first and probally last one ) because he felt sorry for me. My wife was screaming at me for speading there was 2 cats crying in the back seat and my van stunk because of the litter box, never mind how many plants we had in that van. So he let me go so I could get to where I was going as fast as I could. lol so I guess the night wasnt all that bad . I am just so glad that I am moving everything in to the place today and tommorow I am going to sleep ALL day.

oh and just so you know it is plus 16 degrees out side right now. No more cold for me!!!

LOL! Yes, I've done one of those long moving trips two. That was when I was only 10 and only one cat. We put our cat in a cardboard box but somehow clawed her way out. It was pretty funny because she stuck her head out and got stuck.

Lucky you got away with speeding. That wouldn't have been good.

Enjoy your new home.

My longest trip was 15 hours from Chicago to New Orlean without any cats but two persons in a small Mitsubishi Eclipse and I was the only one to drive because my girlfriend ( now wife ) has no drivers license.

Did you drive straight through or did you sleep overnight?

I drive without sleeping. It tooks me 15h ( 1000 miles - 1600 km ) than I was 3 days in New Orlean after that we went to Gulf of Mexico which was about 100 miles from New Orlean. We spent there one night and I was drive back to Chicago. It was hard trip even without cats because this car was with lowered suspension, low profile tires and sport exhaust.
