Yes. Netbooks have as much processing power as the iPad, but use a normal operating system, allow multi-tasking and allow you to use USB and SD cards. Netbooks are also way cheaper than the iPad. My Dell Mini 9 was $199 and can do more than the iPad and has a faster processor. Also, the Lenovo U1 Hybrid will be a tablet like the iPad, but it can be inserted into a netbook shell and used as a normal, foldable netbook.
It looks cool and all but the iPad can't do what I require from a handheld laptop device. I hear it can't run more than ONE program at a time! How is that useful to people? Everyone multitasks now.
Though I'm surprised it's not that expensive, $499 was it at retail price?
iPad is really cool innovation offered by Apple team..
There are so many useful features and functions there.
In comparison with iPhone 3g, iPad will be much better choice IMHO.
