Post Choose your keywords wisely...

By Byron M of http://www.gethitsfrom.us

When doing Pay-Per-Click advertising be sure to choose your keywords wisely. It is best to target your keywords to the exact page and content you are trying to entice the visitor to.

* Don't bother with "free" in the keywords - are you really interested in tryiing to convince someone who is looking for free stuff to buy something? use -free or negative keywords for -free or -warez -crack -serials - Don't spend cash on people searching for something they don't want to pay for.

*Try and use exact phrase matching if your network supports it. Sure your list will be HUGE but you will have more control. It is costly to realize that people are clicking on your ads that have no relevency.

Example Keyword: Hosting
Example Market: Linux/PHP Hosting

Your going to pay alot for that keyword and since your keyword is broad match your going to pay for "asp hosting" even though you may not offer it "free hosting" even though you charge "uk hosting" even though you may be in the us and not want to go overseas.

* Try and find synonyms. Don't just go for common "money words" try and go for words that mean the same that aren't so common but still yield MUCH more affordable results.

* Use the keywords in your title & descriptions of your ads - RELEVENCY IS THE KEY!

And most importantly when building your ads, keywords and campaigns make sure they take the user to exactly where he/she wan'ts to go. If your selling blue widgets don't just send the person to your shop to LOOK for blue widgets but link directly to the blue widgets page.

This tips alone could save you big $$$

Its not about the QUANTITY of traffic, its about the QUALITY of traffic - same goes for advertising
