Default SEO With The Big Three

SEO with the big three search engines can be very exhausting. There like having a wife nothing is ever good enough.

I have been playing around with www.freenc.ca for almost a year now. This site is a local buy sell and trade classified service. I have come to realize some issues with the msn's and google's crawler. MSN's and Google's crawler does not like when all your pages has unique meta titles. The keywords and the description does not matter that i have found just the title. Ill try to explain what i did. There is 58 cities and within those cities there is about 260 categories that are dynamic created. At first I just used the top category for the title tags. I had about 1000 links to freenc.ca. Then I decided to take those titles out and put the proper titles in for each category. Yahoo and all the affiliates shot my links through the roof. How ever MSN shot down to under 100 links. So when i updated my site a few months later i again took the title tags out to a basic description and MSN and google went up and yahoo went down in links. So recently I have converted half my site for google and MSN to crawl and the other half for yahoo and there friends. It looks like this is some kind of penalty as my links dropped just as low as if I did the whole site or this is some kind of time issue maybe? I am going to keep playing with my robots to see what kind of things that really effect them with there crawling. So far I think I am going to go with the drop in links with MSN and google as the page searches are still number one on there site and i have noticed a big difference of traffic from yahoo. Ill wait about three months before my next conversion.
