Default Choosing right keyword for your site

Before submitting your pages to search engines, the most important task is to select the right keywords to get your website in search result. Keywords which will best way describe your site and which will bring visitors to your web page. you should be very careful about choosing right keyword. After you make your own list of keywords, ask your friends to give you their suggestions and feedback. Use a thesaurus or dictionary. Some words may make perfect sense to you but may not to others and vice versa. After you choose them, add plurals of the same keywords. Always try to use keyword phrases so they make sense when they are put together. The key to successful promotion through search engines is to have the right keywords implemented at all the right places on your Web Page.

Certainly keywords are important but IMO content is very important. If you have good quality content then that'll also include your keyword stuff.
In addition to that repeating keywords is considered to be a Black Hat SEO technique. It is called as keyword stuffing. It occurs when a web page is loaded with keywords in meta tags or in content. As a result meta tags lose their importance. A word that is repeated too often may raise a red flag to search engines.

Default Focused Content is the most important

I do agree that content is very important. But the most important of all the things is the focused content. The content of each page can focus for a set of keywords. However, this has to be done in a legitimate way. Need to avoid all the ways, which Danny has nicely mentioned. So go ahead and use the mentioned tools to identify the required and potential keywords for your market and group them. Then write contents for each group. Always remember content is the King.
