Google App Speeds Up Web Surfing

I've saved 4.7 seconds so far LOL. I wonder how accurate it is? I don't notice much difference but I suppose there is a little bit. Over time I'm going to save hours according to this cool little tool.

I've still got it installed, but there sure is a lot of controversy over this one. I'm pretty sure I'll be uninstalling soon.

One question I haven't seen asked is "Does Web Accelerator cache pages viewed locally?" It's already disobeying robots.txt and metas, or so I hear and while working yesterday after installing it my 'Preview in Browser' seemed awfully slow..

Google Web Accelerator does cache pages locally from what I've read. Instead of the browser checkng if the the page has been updated, the Google server checks. If it hasn't been updated it shows the cached data.

I've uninstalled because of all the posts I've read about it... It didn't turn out as good as expected...
