Default phpBB help

You may be a bit confused on how to use this phpBB forum. So here are some useful things that can really help you:

Q. How do I post a topic in a forum?

A. When you go into a forum (e.g Suggestions) you will see a button that says New Topic. Click on that and you will be able to post a New Topic just like it says.

Q. How do I post a reply to a topic in a forum?

A. When you go into a topic like this one your reading now, you will see up the top of the page two buttons: New Topic and Post Reply. Click Post Reply and you'll be able to reply!

Q. What are all the buttons above where I write my text when I post?

A. When you either Post a Reply or a New Topic you will notice some boxes above where you are writing your text. B, i, u etc. They are called BBcode. For example B will make your text bold. i will make your text italic and so on.

When you wave your mouse over the boxes you'll see the text change below Font Colour. They are little tips that can help you understand how you can use them.

Q. What can I do with the emoticons?

A. Also when Posting a Reply or a New Topic you'll see little yellow faces. When you click on them it puts the one you clicked directly onto the page. (e.g ) Click on View more Emoticons for more!

Q. What is a Private Message?

A. A private message is also known as PM and allows you to send a message to a particular person. They are the only ones who can see your message. Everyone has their own Inbox where they can read their messsages. To send a private message, simply click on a topic where the person, you want to PM, has posted. Then find a post that they have already sent, and click the button that says PM!

Hope this helps you out!

Ben Sinclair

P.S. If you have any more questions please post a new topic in this forum.
