Question Speeding up your internet connection?

was looking on the net an same across this product:

http://www.ascentive.com/run/click/@...tiveSpeed.html

They say it speeds up your internet connection. Is that possible?

If it is possible, does anyone recommend using a product like that?

I don't think it will provide what it tells you it does - it's one of those products you'd see on TV at 3am inbetween the abroller and those do-it-yourself vacuum bag commercials.

I agree with Tech. However they may help a little by removing some settings you don't require.

I tried http://www.acelogix.com/fastnet.html once but it ended up blocking my internet connection sharing Not good and they never got back to me about the problem when I emailed them so I wouldn't recommend it if your sharing your Internet.

No probs

Just be careful of where you download it from. Who knows what spyware etc that'll come with it. Try downlaod it from a reputable (or atleast looks like one) website.

My sister downloaded a screensaver the other day and it came with a heap of spyware...

I find that websites without all those flashing banner advertisments taking up just about every space on the page aren't any good for downloading.
