Default Internet Explorer 7...

I've been wondering when they would be bringing the new IE7 out... I did a bit of searching and came across this:

we’re committing to deliver a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows XP customers. Betas of IE7 will be available this summer.

I'll be interested to see how they set it up...

What are your thoughts on this?

Just found something new from the Microsoft website...

Quote:
Gates announced Internet Explorer 7.0, designed to add new levels of security to Windows XP SP2 while maintaining the level of extensibility and compatibility that customers have come to expect. Internet Explorer 7.0 will also provide even stronger defenses against phishing, malicious software and spyware. The beta release is scheduled to be available this summer.

Some new info on their developing browser...

Quote:
Although Microsoft has made no public statements, information about Internet Explorer 7 is slowly emerging. Microsoft Watch has indicated that the primary focus of the release will be on beefing up the browser's security, but other changes may include the addition of tabbed browsing and added standards support.
