I believe that there is always a better deal out there on the Internet but moving an entire site is always a BIG hassle. Especially when you have a big site with a database and all the nifty stuff around. Damn.....

i have actually read bad things about iPower. mostly about customer service.

Mr. Tech, two questions

first of all, is LunarPages customer service any good?
and 2, is it likely that i would go through 20 GB in a month with about 400 unique hosts in a month? i personally don't think so, but i'm just checking

Very good support. You can get it through email or their forums.
Not to sure about the GB... Try contacting their support@lunarpages.com and test out their support while you are at it

20GB is actually alot of bandwidth. Depending on what you have as content on your site, I personally think it should be sufficient.

I serve around 200 pages a day (mostly forums) and my bandwidth for a month is only around 600MB.

So you should be fine.

Regarding Ipowerweb, I totally agree with you. They SUCK big time but I believe that they are improving. The last time I sent an email to them, they took care of me within 20 hours. I guess you can't have everything right

Hey... who hasn't right? Nobody would dare publish 100% uptime because they might just have to eat their words.

As far as I can tell, they are pretty reliable. The only "trouble" that I have with the service is the upload speed of their FTP servers! Totally unacceptable at around 30Kb.

I currently use IPOWERWEB. They do tend to make mistakes once in awhile, but nothing major. There package is good, and thir support is good. My biggest complain is the damn shizzy music that plays while your on hold for technical support
