Default Colorteck.com?

hi, i need info on a new webhosting company called colorteck.com, a friend of mine has bought a plan with them but he says nothing works even after complete propagation. He cannot upload his files, they gave him broken links to Cpanel. Their servers have been down for hours today (please check). Any help or background info on the company is greatly appreciated.

Well from what your friend said I wouldn't be even thinking about going with them

But if I were you I would be checking around at hosting review websites and looking for testimonials on their website.

I notice they have a 30 day money back guarentee so maybe you should test them out for 30 days...

For similar price and more features, you should check out http://www.surfspeedy.com/ They are great.

Good luck

Default Thank's

My friend has canceled the account. When he did, he tells me they they harassed him for that. Colorteck.com found him "annoying" and called him an incompetent who can't use their fabulous CPanel. Wow.

No talk of giving his money back, no matter what they say in the guarantee.

On top of that they told him (!!!) they reported hacking activities against their site while my he was using their services and that they want to open an investigation against "these" hackers...

They even made disparaging comments on what was written in his files (there was nothing obscene, nothing offensive, just "test file").

My friend a hacker. He does not even know HTML and they know that. Later he logged into his former account with T. Hosting Svcs, and found he was still being hosted by them. :?:

He needed to start off with Frontpage but never got the url of his Frontpage server from Colorteck, not even after asking.

There is a chilling review of a disgruntled company on the internet, although they are webhosts too and may have be partial in their judgement. But for those of you who like horror stories this one adds a dark twist to Colorteck's "customer care" services:

Wow that is a very shocking email they've posted to their site. I have been blessed with a good host that I've been with since 2000. A bit pricier when compared to hosting offered by the newer companies out there, but I'm a creature of habit and enjoy good customer service where I'm at. Has your friend disputed the charge? Also, report the card # as stolen and that will effectively prevent anyone from making future charges to that card number. They'll usually issue a new card with a new #. Hope this helps your friend.

I dont know where you got this information as we have never treated anyone this way. Plus when a client account is cancelled within 30 days they get a refund within 72 hours. I am the original owner and I handle most of the contact between clients so you are more than welcome to contact more than 700 clients that have been with us for a long time. Some of their websites are listed on www.mycolorteck.com so feel free to contact them if you need to know anything about us at all. The client center is new so not all clients have added their site yet but feel free to contact any of them. We did have one client who got caught sending out millions of spam and was terminated who decided to put up bad information about us and a bogus email but when you get caught spamming from our servers you get terminated.http://www.thebusinessjunction.com/colorteck.htm
this is the client who got busted for spam.

have a great day.
