A lot of money. The costs to resell these days are minimal. However, there is a lot of competition... You've got Lunarpages, Globat etc...

If you have a web related business, you can get your clients to sign up to your hostin to get you started.

Competition on this market can be very dificult to beat. There is propably thousands of websites where you can buy hosting. So I'm wondering is it worth to give it try.

I gave it a try but I had a database of web design clients I could make the money from. Unless you have a database of clients, you're going to have to start from scratch.

Ask yourself these questions:

Have you got time to run a web hosting company?
Have you got the money to run a web hosting company?
Do you have the skills?
Do you know how to get clients?

Hope that helps you out.

There is money to be made if you can sign on the clients. However to keep the clients for long term you have to be able to offer support 24 hours a day. If your customer contacts you about an account problem at 11:30 at night, they dont want to wait until 10:00 the next morning for a reply. You would have just lost that customer.

24 hour support.....figure out how to do it before you ever think about becoming a hosting company.

Once you accomplish that, there's money to be made if you treat it like a real business and not a "get rich quick" scheme.
