Default Advanced Browser Based WYSIWYG Editors

Hey there,

I currently use the WYSIWYG editor http://www.htmlarea.com/ to run my CMS however it is only supported in IE 5+...

Does anyone know of any WYSIWYG editors supported by more browsers but also have a lot of features? (Such as managing forms and tables?)

Thanks

Hey Dooby,

I've used HTMLAREA and it's a good program. But like you said, it only works in IE5+.

However they do have a new version out that is also supported by Mozilla but it's still in dev and probably still has quite a few bugs...

Same here. HTML Area is the only one I've used too...

However, I did a trial of a program called Editize promoted at sitepoint.com which uses Java instead of JavaScript. All they readd need is Java installed which most people have.

Browsers supported: IE 4+, Mozilla, Safari, Opera 6.01+ and more
Operating Systems Supported: Windows, Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X

If all else fails, the only thing I can recommend is Google

Good luck

Thanks guys, I'll check them out and see how they go. Devedit looks good but it's not free...

That may cause some trouble for me but I'll see what I can do
