Default Screen sizes!

This is something very useful I got from JuggoPop. He got them from http://www.OneStat.com. Here they are:

1. 1024 x 768 43%
2. 800 x 600 37%
3. 1280 x 1024 12.9%
4. 1152 x 864 3.8%
5. 640 x 480 1.3%
6. 1600 x 1200 1%
7. 1152 x 870 0.2%

If you are going to design a page you should design it in 800x600. If you do it in 1024x768 the page may scroll for smallers screens.

I personally use 800x600. What do you use?

Thanks to a tip by Mr. Tech, I quickly changed some settings on my site to cater to the 800 x 600 res people.

I personally use 1024 x 768 on my 17" monitors and 1280 x 1024 on my 19" monitor.

If you are still using 800 x 600, that means its time to upgrade.

I use 800X600 because I'm blind as a bat, but I design for multiple settings.

actually the main point I make about that is by those stats... only 38.3% use 800 x 600 or less, while 60.9% use 1024 x 768 or greater.

it was mainly to show how the tables have turned over the past few years.

and design wise... if you make the max width of your site 777 it will fit perfect with 800x600 users... full screen for them and less wasted space for others.

Yep! I used to use 800 x 600 now 1024 x 768. A lot easier on the eyes!
