Yes but you have to remember that a DS-3 t-3 backbone is only oporating at 44.736 Mbps, and that is shared between the other 1000 or so people at your campus.

I used to work for an ISP and my computer was the only one on a T3 for months during a testing phase... man I loved it... used to go through virtual worlds online all 3d stuff... no load time at all. (and it seemed even fater because I only had a 28.8 dial up at home...)

28.8 k, i couldn't live with that. I remember having that in like 94' and it lagged all the time.
