Hmmm that was fun, started this post and then got sidetracked for a long time, finished the long post, sent it and INVALID_SESSION!!(going back didn't save the data like in many cases)had to retype! about halfway through posting the second time... I was about to copy the half completed thread because I would have been pretty angry if something happened during my 2nd attempt, AND IT DID RIGHT AS I WAS HIGHLIGHTING TEXT! curtousy of the conflict with 'callwave internet answering machine' locking up dreamweaver and internet explorer. AHHHHHH!!!! So if something happens this post i'm probably going to cross my thin border of sanity.
Ok.... here comes my 3rd version(the final revision). I've come prepared this time. I feel like I'm writing an everlasting novel with the same 3 paragraphs on every page. Which would be fine if the pages were actually checks written out to my name.... but they're not so anyway....
I know the navbar links are a little hard to read and notice....i want to change the text links to be different than the rest of the text links on my site while still preserving mouse-over effects. I don't have enough knowledge of css to do what I attempted and the attempts failed. I checked out many sites, looking through tutorials and reference guides and couldn't find the information on what I wanted. My first post seemed like it could be a little confusing the way I had explained it so I'm going to explain with the exact functions I want my text links to perform and hopefully someone can help me out.
I want the links on my navbar almost black(#cccccc) with a mouse over color of a whitish blue and no other effects from the rest of the site(i attempted to define a css variable and use it in the navbar table tag). I want the rest of the links on my site to be a lighter grey distinguishable between black text on a white background, with a mouse-over effect of the same color as the blue framing of the site(#6699cc) and I want those links to also become bold on mouse-over.
If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated. I'm sure someone can.
As to teaming up with Mr. Tech.... I am always looking for ways to perfect and add quality content to my site, so i would be interested.
Thanks,
Abe
