Default Please Review and Rate My Site!

Site has been up for about six months:

Free Tools: Promote Your Website!
http://promote-website.tripod.com

(please review sites in navigational links, too)

i'm a newbie, and ONLY know html (ex 20 yr mainframe programmer)

i've decided to concentrate on more on content,
as opposed to making site flashy.

i figure that as times goes on i can make it look more
professional once i pick up on other programming skills.

tell me what you think?

Too much clutter with all those banners. I dont know where to look first. If you have banners or ad's sort them out better. If you are serious about your site pick up some budget hosting for cheap and kick the tripod. A lot of search engines will not even list free hosting places. Also try adding a logo.

.... thanks, maybe that's why i'm only listed by google. and, cant seem to get any of my tripod sites in altavista, hotbot, etc.

will be getting a host soon.

also, the site doubles as a *reference* site for me. as new programs come down the pipeline i try to incorporate the more noteworthy ones into the site. for me, it's serves as a handy , organized, point of reference.

occasionally, i'll eliminate some of the clutter by creating new sites
(for instance, as can be seen in the NAV bar ) when the data gets to be too much.

maybe it's that time again.

thanks

Default Reactor!

... i noticed the problem (clutter, not knowing where to begin, what's there, etc.) that you mentioned, some time back.

i attempted to ease my congestion problem by creating a doorway page.
one that sort of highlights, or outlines, what's in the main routine.

ALIAS: http://way.to/promotewebsite

i have been very frustrated by my inability to get this one in the search engines (free site, too).

But, i'll get it together. thanks fella

It's a basic design but it's ok for someone new to design.

I would higly recommend that you get your own domain name. You can get one cheap at http://www.godaddy.com

Good luck!
